Barcelona (FCB).- There was good news for Barça on Wednesday night, when Real Madrid were held to a 1-1 draw by Villarreal. With FC Barcelona winning on Tuesday night against Granada, that means Guardiola’s men are now just 6 points behind the Spanish League leaders. Real Madrid have failed to win in their last two games, with 10 matches left to play in the campaign and 30 points still up for grabs. Furthermore, there is still a FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid game to be played at Barça’s Camp Nou.

At the weekend, Barça cut the gap between the two from 10 to 8 points with their win in Seville, whilst Madrid were held 1-1 at home by Malaga. On Tuesday, Barça reduced the gap to virtual 5 points, but Real Madrid had still to play their game against Villareal. Once the Spanish League’s 29th round completed, the gap at the top passed from 8 to 6 points. The chase for the Spanish League’s leadership is livelier than ever.
