Barcelona (CNA).- A Barcelona based world-leading centre for the promotion of design, Disseny Hub Barcelona, is preparing a new series of activities to look at 3D digital manufacturing technologies. The event has been organised to highlight the fundamental transformation of design and the new opportunities that modern technologies offer to design professionals. The exhibition, entitled 'Fabrication Laboratory', is an ongoing project that allows the public to produce their own robots and prototypes.

The exhibition includes different spaces in which the visitor can discover the secrets of 21st century technologies. Robots and objects developed using new design and production tools are the centre-pieces of the event. Disseny Hub Barcelona aims to demonstrate the ability of new technologies to adapt to different situations and needs.

'Fabrication Laboratory' is not only an exhibition, but it also includes real-time fabrication laboratories, workshops and lectures. The event, which has been open to the public since the 16th of June, consolidates Disseny Hub Barcelona as a leading institution in Europe in analysing and promoting the design world.
