Unemployment in Catalonia fell to 380,344 people in September, a 0.1% decrease from August.

It’s the first time in 11 years that the end of summer has not led to an increase in the number of people looking for work.

In 2007, the figure went down by 3.45%. Following that, the financial crisis caused unemployment to skyrocket, with the rate surpassing 20% of people without a job.

In Spain, the number of job seekers rose to 3.2 million, a 0.64% increase from the previous month.

The unemployment rate in Catalonia in September fell by 5% from last year.

There have been 64 consecutive months of yearly unemployment decreases.
