FC Barcelona vs PSG Champions League match to be played at Olympic Stadium
Montjuïc to host Barça matches until official permission to reopen Camp Nou is granted, with no set date

The first major game of FC Barcelona’s 2025/2026 season will not be played at Camp Nou.
On Friday morning, the Catalan club confirmed that the Barça-PSG match, scheduled for October 1 at 9 pm, will take place at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium.
“The club continues to work intensively to obtain the administrative permissions needed to open Spotify Camp Nou in the coming weeks,” the club said in a statement.
The announcement marks yet another delay in the return to the iconic stadium, which has been undergoing extensive renovations since the end of 2022.
Initially, the club, led by president Joan Laporta, had planned to start this season at the renovated stadium, with the opening Gamper Game played there. However, after multiple postponements, the reopening continues to be delayed.

Recently, the club has shifted its messaging, avoiding specific reopening dates, unlike at the start of the season when tentative timelines had been announced.
“FC Barcelona thanks its members and fans for their understanding and support during such a complex and exciting process as the return to the new Spotify Camp Nou,” the club added.
For the PSG match, priority ticket access will be given to members who have attended matches at the Olympic Stadium over the past two seasons. Prices will range from €11 to €37, proportional to the cost of a full-season pass.
After this initial priority sale, the remaining members can purchase tickets, followed by general sales for non-members. The stadium has a capacity of nearly 50,000 seats.
