Barcelona (ACN).- The 5th edition of The Brandery, the urban and contemporary fashion exhibition, will take place from July 13th to 15th in Barcelona. The Brandery has created a new space called ‘Brandtown a FashionXperience’ that will host concerts, fashion shows and exhibitions. The attendance of international buyers has increased and the presence of many great distribution chains has already been confirmed.

From July 13th to 15th, the Montjuïc showground in Barcelona will host the 5th edition of The Brandery, an event organized by Fira de Barcelona and the Barcelona City Hall. The exhibition will introduce a complete vision of urban fashion and has incorporated into its trade show a new area called Brandtown a FashionXperience. This new area will become the Hot Spot of the newest trends, a place where public and professionals will be able to live, see and experiment urban fashion in 360º.

The new space will host fashion companies that will try to make their brands known by connecting directly with the final costumer. Brandtown a FashionXperience will be the Hot Spot of The Brandery. The aim of this area is to allow the public to enjoy not only fashion, but what fashion means culturally, artistically and creatively.

“Brands have been asking us for a space to interact with the public and an area where they can spread their values for a long time now” says Miquel Serrano, director of the show. “Brandtown picks these demands in order to meet the needs of the fashion market. With this new trends space, The Brandery evolves together with the sector” he added.

Every evening, Brandtown a FashionXperience will become the stage for concerts organized by Advanced Music (Sonar Festival), which will include performances by bands as important as Ladytron, Nouvelle Vague, Hercules and Love Affair or Azari & III. These bands have been selected because of their current success and in order to provide the public with a great musical offer that goes from house and funk to electropop or lounge music.

One of the activities that Brandtown will host is the exhibition ‘Fashion and Sports’, which will show off fashion objects related to sport. For example, the show will include a rugby ball signed by Chanel, some kite-surf boards by Custo Barcelona, a pair of Gucci ski sunglasses, or a tennis racket by Emporio Armani. In this space, short films inspired by fashion and sport will be projected.

International buyers from twelve countries

The Brandery increases the presence of great international buyers so the brands that participate in the show can close deals with distributors in new markets and are able to expand their businesses. Twelve great chains of distribution have already confirmed their presence for this year’s edition. These chains come from 12 countries, like the Italian group COIN, the American female clothing importer St. Marteen, or the Russian chain Befashion.
