Contemporary flamenco singer-songwriter Rosalía attempts a pulsating twist on another typically Hispanic genre with her latest single Con altura ('With Height').

The Latin Grammy Award winner from Baix Lobregat, central Catalonia – famed for her nightclub ready interpretations of traditional flamenco – has renewed her collaboration with Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin, joined by Barcelona-born DJ El Guincho.

The release of the single follows the success of her album El mal querer ('The Bad Loving'), containing Platinum track MALAMENTE ('BADLY'), which revolves around a poisonous relationship and was inspired by the anonymous 13th-century Occitan novel Flamenca.

Director X, who has worked with American artists Rihanna and Drake, made the music video for the single, picturing a Latino party 30,000 feet high in a private jet.

Rosalía's debut world tour begins in Buenos Aires on Friday night and will fly to 28 venues – mostly festivals – in Latin America, North America and Europe.

She is scheduled to appear at Barcelona's Primavera Sound on June 1 and Doctor Music in Lleida in July, with other dates including New York and London.
