A free warm-up of the Primavera Sound Festival with 22 concerts in Barcelona bars

‘Primavera als Bars’ is a pre-festival date of the city with one of its main music events, the Primavera Sound. This free show will bring 22 international and local music bands to fifteen bars, restaurants and hotels around the city of Barcelona. These concerts kicked off on the 24th of April and will finalize on the 18th of May. All these concerts are free and offer the chance to get to know young local artists like Núria Graham or to international bands such as the Americans Purling Hiss.

Barcelona (ACN) - The Catalan capital is offering a prelude to the Primavera Sound Festival on Wednesday 24thApril, with the live music event 'Primavera als Bars'. This event has programmed 22 concerts that will take place in fifteen bars, restaurants and hotels situated in the center of Barcelona. All these concerts are free and offer the chance to get to know young local artists like Núria Graham or to international bands such as the Americans Purling Hiss.


The 2013 Primavera Sound Festival, one of the greatest and popular musical events in Spain and Europe, is bringing to Barcelona bands and artists one month before the festival itself starts. These concerts are called ‘Primavera als Bars’ and they are included in the parallel programme ‘Primavera a la Ciutat’, which brings live music to the whole city. The concerts ara taking place from the 24th of April to the 18th of May and some of them have been organised in collaboration with the Catalan cultural platform ‘A Viva Veu’.

All the concerts start at 8 o’clock in the evening and the public will receive a free special edition beer from the festival’s sponsor. The first band to play in the new edition of “Primavera als Bars” was the duo Sexy Bicycles, with their folk and experimental sounds. During the following days other artists like the Spanish Gabriel y Vencerás, Siesta, Der Ventilator, Diego Hdez or the Italians Go!Zilla will bring their music to bars, restaurants and hotels all over Barcelona.
