17 Catalan companies and institutions will be attending the Internationale Tanzmesse nrw Düsseldorf dance event

17 Catalan companies and institutions will be represented at the biennial Internationale Tanzmesse nrw Düsseldorf in Germany from August 29th to September 1st. Also, two Catalan companies will be performing at the event, designed as an international platform for dance professionals to showcase their work and as a networking event for the contemporary dance sector.

Barcelona (ACN.) - A total of 17 Catalan companies and institutions will be present this year at the Internationale Tanzmesse nrw Düsseldorf (Germany), a biennial marketplace and festival platform for communicating and networking in the field of contemporary dance, that will be held from August 29th to September 1st. It will join together choreographers, dancers, agencies, presenters and cultural institutions from around the world, such as the Catalan Institute of Cultural Industries (ICEC), which is part of the Catalan Ministry of Culture.


Of the 17 Catalan companies and institutions represented, 14 will be on the Catalan! Dance stand arranged by the l'ICEC. Particpating will be Bàcum, Bianchini Producciones/NS Danza/Los Vivancos, Cia. Laura Morales, Cobosmika, Gelabert Azzopardi Cia. de Dansa, Institut Ramon Llull, La Intrusa Danza, Les Filles Föllen, Mercat de les Flors, Àngels Margarit/Cia. Mudances, Societat Doctor Alonso, Sol Picó Cia. de Danza, Thomas Noone Dance/SAT Teatre and Vesc (Plec).

Three more companies will have their own stand; Cia. Jordi L. Vidal, Cia. Plan B Sagardoy/Bravo and Fani Benages/La Veronal. Two Catalan companies will also be performing at the event. Àngels Margarit/Cia.Mudances & Zoo/Thomas Hauert will perform the spectacle ‘From B to B’, which can be seen on Thursday, August 30th­­ ­­at 4.00pm. Also, La Veronal will perform ‘Moscow’ which will be on Friday, August 31st at­ 7.30pm.

The last event achieved an attendance of more than 1,000 professionals from 42 different countries, making it a world leading convention for dance professionals.
