Barcelona City Council has decided to cancel this year's Barcelona Marathon. The event had been postponed to October 25, 2020, due to Covid-19 but has finally been called off completely.

The next edition will be on November 7, 2021. The half marathon, the precursor to the marathon, also has seen its dates moved, and instead of being held in February, it has been pushed back to October 17, 2021.

Those enrolled in the 2020 Marathon will be able to change the registration for the 2021 edition with the possibility of running the 2021 half marathon race for free.

They will also be able to opt for a full refund of the registration fee or a partial refund with a voluntary donation of 25% in solidarity with the expenses incurred by the organization.

Over the next few days, the organization will contact all participants to inform them about the management of bibs.
