Alexandre Song signs his new contract with FC Barcelona

The Cameroon international player signed on Monday his new five-year contract with FC Barcelona. On Saturday, the Catalan club and Arsenal FC agreed to terms for Song; Barça will pay the London side €19 million for the player’s services.

Barcelona (FCB).- Alexandre Song is officially a new FC Barcelona player. On Monday afternoon after the player passed his medical checkup, the Cameroon international signed his new five-year contract with the Catalan club. Barça and Arsenal FC agreed to terms for Song last Saturday. The Catalan club will pay the London side 19 million euros for the player’s services. This Monday evening the player will be officially presented, along with the rest of his team-mates, during the 47th edition of the Joan Gamper Estrella Damm Trophy, FC Barcelona’s trophy, named after the club’s founder.


FC Barcelona ‘s President, Sandro Rosell, Vice President Josep Maria Bartomeu, the club’s Director of Football Andoni Zubizarreta and the player’s representative, Darren Dean, were all present at the signing ceremony.
