Two goals in the last five minutes gave Barça the points in Seville in a thrilling match that saw them fight back from a 2-0 deficit and extend Barça’s unbeaten Spanish League start to six games.

FC Barcelona’s director for economic affairs, Jordi Moix, and the director responsible for Barça Regal, Joan Bladé, announced that the Catalan sports club will build a new Palau Blaugrana within the next eight years. The construction of the new arena, which is tied to the referendum on the Camp Nou stadium, is subject to FC Barcelona's debt levels. The location of the new arena has not been announced.

Barça will play with Sevilla, Benfica and Real Madrid. At the Sánchez Pizjuán, Barça will play the first of three vital matches in which they could equal or even beat their best ever start to a Spanish League campaign, and also get their second win in the Champions League.

A miraculous goal from the midfielder with just minutes to go, followed by an own goal, gave Barça the win in a gripping climax to a game against a surprisingly daring Granada. As Barça made it five wins out of five, Valdés made a crucial save just seconds before Barça opened the scoring at the other end.

FC Barcelona’s Manager thinks winning all three points at the ever-difficult Coliseum Alfonso Pérez would be the best way to deal with the problem of so many absent international players being away this week. On the five-point lead over Real Madrid, Vilanova says “the important thing is that we’ve got nine points”.

Board member Toni Freixa announced that FC Barcelona has forecast income of €470 million and outgoings of €427.9 million for the coming year. Therefore, the Catalan club would end the current season with a profit of €35.9 million. The 2011/12 season closed with record profits of €48.8 million against a forecast of €21 million. Besides, the Board will ask the members’ delegates at the club’s assembly to authorise the calling of a referendum on the project relating to the future of the Camp Nou.

A wonderful first half goal from the Brazilian full back made it three wins out of three for FC Barcelona. The Catalans are two points clear at the top of the Spanish League table going into September’s international break.

Barça were placed in Group G in the the Champions League Group Stage along with Benfica from Lisbon, Spartak Moscow and Celtic from Glasgow. Benfica and Barça will face off once again after the 1960/61 Champions League final.
