The national football teams of Catalonia and Palestine will face off in a friendly match on November 18 at Barcelona's Olympic Stadium.

The game is one of the main events of the ACTxPALESTINE campaign, which will be launched in Barcelona and is organized by leading Palestinian organizations from around the world.

The Catalan capital will serve as the hub for "exceptional" mobilizations against the "impunity that has enabled genocide" in Palestine by Israel.

"It is an urgent appeal to intensify pressure, now that global mobilization has achieved a ceasefire, to put an end to 77 years of occupation, apartheid, and human rights violations in Palestine," the organizers said.

Another key event will be the Unsilence Forum, a gathering of major Palestinian organizations from around the world, scheduled for November 14 and 15.

Additionally, a major concert at Palau Sant Jordi is planned for 29 January, although performers have not yet been confirmed.

The event will also feature "Who Will Be the Watershed?," an audiovisual manifesto by Massive Attack, which draws a parallel between the international movement that promoted boycotts and sanctions against apartheid in South Africa and the current struggle of the Palestinian people.

Organizers said they chose Barcelona for its "history of struggles and resistance," as well as its recent demonstrations in support of Palestine.
