President of Spain's rail infrastructure management company resigns
Luis Pedro Marco de la Peña submits resignation during meeting with new Transport Minister

Luis Pedro Marco de la Peña has resigned from his position as president of Adif, the public company that manages Spain's rail infrastructure, on Wednesday.
De la Peña met with the new Minister of Transport, Carlos Cuerpo, just hours after the resignation of the previous minister, Óscar Puente.
Both have submitted their resignations following high-speed train accidents in Adamuz (Córdoba) in January and and Urda (Toledo) last week, which, combined, took the lives of over 100 people.
During this meeting, the same sources report, the Adif president submitted his resignation to Cuerpo, who accepted it.
Cuerpo begins his tenure with the task of addressing the crisis of public confidence sparked by the two railway accidents on the same high-speed line in less than a year.
The outgoing minister, Óscar Puente, submitted his resignation on Tuesday night after spending three hours providing explanations in the Congress of Deputies regarding the railway accident in Urda.
