You may have heard of Barcelona’s renowned opera house, the Liceu Theater – you may have even been inside it. But now, the venue offers you a new way to discover its secrets - the ‘Enigma Puccini’ Escape Room, a project the size of the theater itself.

This is the first escape room experience to be held in an opera house, and its drama revolves around the composer from whence it takes its name: Giacomo Puccini, and the opera 'Turandot.' According to the narrative, it’s been left unfinished, and it’s up to the participants to find its mysterious ending.

The Liceu Theater and the company Missionleak also do this by turning the classic escape room formula on its head: instead of having to get out of each room, the aim for participants is to complete a path and to make it into every room in the game – including the grandiose main hall. All, accompanied and guided by ominous, masked and hooded members of the Trinitarian Order, a religious convent which was actually once housed where the Liceu Theater now stands.
