The Barcelona city council has organized ‘New in Barcelona? First steps in the city’, an event scheduled for May 26 to help newcomers integrate and establish themselves in the Catalan capital.

The event has been organized by the Barcelona International Welcome launched in late 2021 aimed at helping foreign talent settle more easily in the city, will highlight the everyday issues of living there, as well as ways to meet new people and make friends.

The session’s key speaker will be Paul Conde, an ambassador for InterNations, an association that connects and creates expat communities in several cities worldwide. He will be talking about the InterNations experience in Barcelona, as well as resources available for sharing interests and pastimes.

The programme also includes a welcome and presentation by Judith Romera from the city council at 6:30 pm, followed by Conde’s speech, before closing with some networking time at 7:30 pm.

The session will take place on Thursday May 26 in the Poblenou district, and will be in English.

Attendance at the event is free, although those wishing to go should sign up online.
