American rapper Travis Scott can be seen taking part in one of Catalonia's human towers, castells, in his latest music video.

Scott participated in a "4 de 9 amb folre", a nine-tier tower with four people in each, with the group, or "colla", Castellers de Vilafranca, a city between Tarragona and Barcelona.

The artist's role in the castell can be seen in his new film "Circus Maximus" and his new upcoming music video "Sirens".

Coinciding with the launch of Scott's new album, "Utopia", a film with his work can also be seen in theaters. It is a "surreal and psychedelic journey", according to AMC theatres, where castells are featured. A clip of the film has been published on X, formerly known as Twitter, where Travis Scott can be seen joining other castellers.

Carles Mata, the president of Castellers de Vilafranca, told RTV Vilafranca that Travis Scott saw a video of castellers and he was "determined for castells to be part of one of his videos."

The music video for his new single was made by the Catalan production company Canada, which has previously made videos for artists such as Rosalía, Dua Lipa, and Tame Impala, among others.

"It was Travis Scott's idea to film with castellers, he was fascinated by the construction of human towers" Laura Serra, from Canada, told the Catalan News Agency (ACN).

Filming for the music video took place in Tarraco Arena, where human tower contests usually take place in Tarragona.

Five "colles", castellers groups, were featured in the making of the video: Castellers de Vilafranca, Xiquets de Tarragona, Xiquets del Serrallo, Nois de la Torre, and Castellers de Mediona. More than 300 castellers from the group Castellers de Vilafranca participated in the construction of the human tower seen in the video.
