The weather may be getting colder, but there’s already something to look forward to: the internationally renowned summertime Sónar festival has announced its first headliners, starting off strong with A$AP Rocky, Skepta, and Disclosure.

Sónar changes dates and comes in strong

Another novelty is that the festival is changing dates: this year it comes about on July 18, 19, and 20, when a total of 130 shows will take place in Barcelona. On Thursday, the festival announced the US rapper, English grime artist, and UK electronic music duo (respectively).

Many more DJs and producers are set to participate in the 26th edition of the event, including names like Paul Kalkbrenner, Andy C, and other artists from Ireland, Ecuador, Uganda, Catalonia, and beyond. Then, in 2020, the festival will go back to being held in June.

Vida festival already boasts international lineup

Meanwhile, Vida festival in early July has also unveiled some heavy hitters as 2019 approaches: English indie electronic group Hot Chip and American indie rock band Superchunk. The fifth edition of this festival also plans to bring names from Australia like Didirri and Stella Donnelly alongside The Charlatans. Vida takes place about an hour south of the Catalan capital, in the seaside town of Vilanova i la Geltrú.
