Barcelona’s iconic Sagrada Família is not open for regular visitors while the world waits for a vaccine for Covid-19 or else until medical professionals have an effective method of treatment in operation. In fact, even construction has been paused until a normal amount of tourists can visit again.

However, that doesn’t mean its doors are closed, as doctors, nurses, and residents of the Catalan capital have had the chance to visit for free on weekends over the past months.

Now, 12,000 further free tickets will be available to visit Gaudí’s wonderful masterpiece. Anybody wanting to go will have to fill out a form and enter a raffle, as demand is very likely to exceed capacity.

The Sagrada Família Open Doors Days will take place between September 18-20, and visitors will have the opportunity to discover the interior majesty of the famous cathedral, as well as learning what the top of the tower of the Virgin Mary will look like. This tower will be the second tallest of the entire basilica.

People can request tickets up to 10 am on September 14, and the winners of tickets will be announced later on the same day.

As well as that, the regular tickets available to locals for the month of November will be up for grabs from October 5.
