Rosalía releases 'Berghain,' the first single from her upcoming album
Catalan star unveils first song from her latest project, Lux, to be published on November 7

Rosalía's new musical era has begun. On Monday at 5 pm, thousands of fans around the world tuned in to hear the first song from her upcoming album, Lux.
The single, titled 'Berghain,' sets the tone for this new era, blending classical music with themes of religion and spirituality.
Featuring Icelandic artist Björk and American musician Yves Tumor, the Catalan star presents an epic track that marks a new chapter in her career.
Named after Berlin’s legendary techno club, Berghain opens with Rosalía singing in German, a first for the artist.
In the music video, a full orchestra dressed in black follows her through the streets of Warsaw, Poland, where it was filmed.
The Catalan star blends Spanish and English vocals throughout the song, set against a backdrop of classical music with occasional modern touches.
The cross of Jesus in her shoes or on her wall, a heart-shaped jewel she wears to pawn, a hospital stretcher, and the beats of her own heart are just some of the many symbols featured in the clip.
The protagonist, on a journey to mend her broken heart, the central theme of the story, ultimately discovers solace in spirituality.
Directed by Nicolás Méndez, the visual piece was produced by CANADA, a Barcelona-based production company that has worked on many of her previous videos.
The Catalan star announced the release of the new song on Sunday with a social media video showing her walking alongside a symphonic orchestra, one of the images from the music video.
A few days earlier, Rosalía shared the sheet music for the track on her Substack profile, prompting many musicians on social media to try playing what was later revealed to be Berghain.
The single arrives less than two weeks before the release of her new album, Lux, scheduled for November 7.
The album will feature numerous collaborations, including some returning partnerships, such as Björk, who previously worked with Rosalía in 2023 on the song 'Oral.'
Other collaborators include Carminho, Estrella Morente, Silvia Pérez Cruz and Yahritza.
The record will also feature contributions from the Escolania de Montserrat choir and the Chamber Choir of the Palau de la Música Catalana.
Four movements, 18 tracks
Lux, released by Columbia Records, will be an "immersive and innovative work," exploring a "broad emotional arc of feminine mysticism and transcendence."
It will be Rosalía's fourth album and is divided into four movements. The physical editions will include 18 tracks, while the digital version will have 15.
MOV I includes five tracks: 'Sexo, violencia y llantas,' 'Reliquia,' 'Divinize,' 'Porcelana,' and 'Mio Cristo.'
MOV II continues with 'Berghain,' released today, as well as 'La Perla,' 'Mundo Nuevo,' and 'De Madrugá.'
MOV III features 'Dios es un Stalker,' 'La Yugular,' 'Sauvignon Blanc,' and two songs exclusive to physical formats: 'Focu 'Ranni',' and 'Jeanne.'
MOV IV contains the final four tracks: 'Novia Robot' (exclusive to physical formats), 'La Rumba del Perdón,' 'Memória,' and 'Magnolias,' which closes the album.
