Primavera Sound releases 2021 lineup featuring Tame Impala, Tyler, The Creator, and Carli XCX
2020 tickets valid for 2021, with extra benefits given to those who don’t ask for refund
Primavera Sound, Barcelona’s biggest summer music festival, has released a lineup of artists who will perform at the 2021 comeback edition in the Catalan capital. Next year’s dates have been confirmed as June 2-6, 2021.
Tame Impala, Tyler, The Creator, Charli XCX are among the names that have already been announced for the next Primavera Sound, while festival organizers say more acts are yet to come.
FKA Twigs, The Strokes, Caribou, Bikini Kill, The National, Chromatics, Nina Kraviz, Metronomy, Beck, Gorillaz, and Bad Gyal are just some of the acts announced on Wednesday morning for a lineup that will closely resemble the canceled 2020 one.
Shortly after the 2019 Primavera Sound festival, Pavement were announced to reunite and play their first show in a decade in the 2020 edition. The American lo-fi indie rockers have also been named to perform in 2021.
On June 3, the day tickets for 2021 went on general sale, the festival confirmed some more big names in the world of music to perform at the next edition.
Massive Attack, Doja Cat, and Khelani were among the names added to the lineup.
Also included were Bicep, Honey Dijon, Le Nais, Mavis Staples, Nuria Graham, Yung Marco, and more.
Benefits of keeping 2020 ticket
Primavera Sound will offer refunds on 2020 tickets during a two-week window beginning on June 3 this year, but the festival has also announced various benefits to keeping the 2020 ticket, which will also be valid for the 2021 festival.
A credit of 10% of the value of fans’ 2020 tickets will be available to spend at Primavera Sound 2021, plus there will be an exclusive 24-hour early bird presale offer for 2022 tickets.

Lastly, music lovers will receive a commemorative book and t-shirt celebrating Primavera Sound’s 20th anniversary.
Fans also have the opportunity to donate their 2020 ticket to the festival, which will include a €20 donation to the charities Save The Children, Open Arms, and #YoMeCorono. Anybody taking this option will also receive the commemorative book and t-shirt.
