CaixaForum Girona received more than 131,000 visitors in 2012

CaixaForum Girona, the social and cultural centre of “La Caixa” savings bank in the Catalan city of Girona played host to 131,158 visitors in its second year of existence. Among the different activities that took place during last year, the exhibitions registered the biggest affluence of visitors, followed by educational activities, concerts, family activities, conferences and social projects. The exhibitions dedicated to Monet, Gauguin, Rusiñol and Sunyer, the maternity photographs of Bru Rovira and the Louvre’s Egyptian collection were the most popular activities.

Barcelona (ACN) - CaixaForum Girona, the social and cultural centre of 'La Caixa' savings bank in Girona played host to 131,158 visitors in its second year of existence. Among the different activities that took place during last year, the exhibitions registered the biggest affluence of visitors, followed by educational activities, concerts, family activities, conferences and social projects. The exhibitions dedicated to Monet, Gauguim, Rusiñol and Sunyer, the maternity photographs of Bru Rovira and the Louvre\u2019s Egyptian collection were the most popular activities. After the CaixaForum Barcelona, which had more than 970,000 visits in 2012, the CaixaForum Girona is La Caixa\u2019s social and cultural centre that has received most people in the whole of Catalonia. La Caixa is the savings bank owning most of CaixaBank, Spain's largest bank


As for the rest of La Caixa cultural centres, CaixaForum Barcelona welcomed 971,101 visitors throughout 2012. On its tenth anniversary, the Social and Cultural Centre of 'La Caixa' in Barcelona beat its own historical record. CaixaForum Madrid overcame the 900,000 visitors mark last year (903,922), followed by CosmoCaixa Barcelona (788,176), CosmoCaixa Madrid (299,708), CaixaForum Palma (261,817), CaixaForum Girona (131,158), CaixaForum Tarragona (79,678) and CaixaForum Lleida (77,552).
