November sees slight increase in number of workers out of jobs
Unemployment figure lowest for any November since 2007
November saw a very slight rise in registered unemployment in Catalonia, with an additional 214 jobless workers registered with social security.
Overall social security membership fell by 1,316 people (-0.04%) in the past month in the territory.
The number of unemployed workers has increased for the second month in a row.
In total there are 339,907 unemployed workers in Catalonia, the lowest figure recorded in a month of November since 2007.
Compared to last year, this figure is 2.6% lower, with 9,075 fewer unemployed workers.
The fall in employment comes after slight rises in October (+0.3%) and September (+0.2%).
Despite the decline, it remains above the threshold of 3.71 million contributors. According to historical records, November is a month where employment has tended to decline in general.
