Unemployment remains stable for November
There are now a total of 484,748 people looking for work in Catalonia, 0.04% more than the previous month
Registered unemployment remained stable in Catalonia for the month of November, with 484,748 people out of work, a figure that represents an increase of 0.04% compared to October.
Compared to the same month last year, the number of unemployed increased by 94,566 people, - 24.24% more. The data was reported on Wednesday by the ministry of labor.
Catalonia added 3,353 more people registered with Social Security services, bringing the total to 3,378,995. This represents a growth of 0.1% on the previous month, but 2.42% less than November of 2019 (-83,933).
Workers registered with temporary layoff schemes rose again and by the middle of the month, there were 38,945 such cases, affecting 196,359 people.
