Barcelona (ACN).- La Caixa directors say that the company is “open to all opportunities” offered by the new Bank Law approved this July. This includes the possibility of transferring the bank to a savings bank, according to a La Caixa spokesperson. While La Caixa is open to “all opportunities”, the spokesperson also stated that they are not currently “looking into any concrete offer” from the new regulation. One of the goals of the new law, which is strongly supported by Isidre Fainé, the present of the Spanish association of savings banks and La Caixa, is the possibility of creating a bank controlled by a savings bank in order to get cash from markets more easily.
