Barcelona Airport to be connected daily with Dubai

Emirates have announced they will link Barcelona with Dubai with a daily flight commencing in July. Furthermore, Spanair have announced connections with Beirut and Moscow, as well as more flights with Germany, France, Croatia and Serbia.

Barcelona (ACN).- Emirates announced on Wednesday that they would start operating a daily direct flight between Barcelona and Dubai. The flight will start on July 3rd and 360 seats are available on each flight, which means that 2,520 seats each way will be on offer every week. Emirates announced that the flight linking Barcelona with the UAE city would have “excellent” connections to South East Asia, the Indian Ocean, Australia and Africa. Besides, the Catalan company Spanair, which is a member of Star Alliance, announced on Monday that they will start operating the first flight connecting Spain with Lebanon. Twice per week the Catalan airline Spanair will link Barcelona El Prat Airport with Beirut, starting May 5th. Furthermore, Spanair will also offer two weekly flights to Moscow, which will start operating on April 24th. From June 2nd, there will be four weekly Spanair flights linking Moscow. In addition, the Barcelona-based airline will increase the number of flights to Berlin and Hamburg, as well those to Nice, Belgrade and Zagreb.


Emirates announce a daily direct flight between Barcelona and Dubai

Emirates flight EK185 will offer 360 seats split in ‘economy’, ‘business’ and ‘first’ class. It will leave Barcelona El Prat at 16.40 CET and arrive in Dubai at 01.00 (GMT +4).

Spanair will have 4 weekly flights linking Barcelona and Moscow from June 2nd

The Barcelona-Moscow route will be operated by Spanair who have signed an agreement with Tez Tours, the second largest Tour Operator in Russia, to transport passengers to the Catalan capital. Flights from Moscow Domodedovo Airport will start on April 24th with two weekly connections, on Tuesday and Saturday. However, from June 2nd, there will be four flights per week, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, all in the evening. Spanair will offer easy connections from Barcelona to Tenerife North, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Alacant (Alicante), Bilbao and Nice.

Furthermore, Spanair will have 6 weekly flights to Berlin and six to Hamburg. The Barcelona-Nice route will be served by 5 weekly flights. Four flights per week will link the Catalan capital with Belgrade and four with Zagreb.
