A total of 81 flights were canceled on Sunday at Barcelona’s El Prat airport as a result of Iberia’s ground crew’s second day of strikes against an elevated workload and a “lack of dialogue” from management.

According to the company, slightly under 15% of ground personnel went on strike, but UGT trade union cites a much higher adherence to the strike at 80%.

Aside from the 73 canceled flights that had already been announced by Vueling and other companies, British Airways has also canceled 8 flights that were supposed to land or depart from El Prat.

On Saturday, 62 flights were canceled due to the strike and another 46 were canceled due to poor weather conditions.

Overall Iberia's ground crew strike at Barcelona's airport this weekend affected 15,600 passengers.
