Woman accuses former FC Barcelona player Dani Alves of sexual assault
Alleged incident took place in Catalan capital nightclub last week
A woman has submitted a report accusing former FC Barcelona player Dani Alves of sexual assault, Mossos d'Esquadra police sources confirmed to the Catalan News Agency (ACN) on Wednesday.
The alleged incident, which was first reported by Ara newspaper, took place in the Catalan capital's Sutton nightclub on the night of Friday, December 30.
According to Ara, the woman alerted the nightclub's security guards that Alves had touched her without her consent.
Police have opened an investigation into the alleged incident.
