Piqué working with the rest of Barça’s squad

Gerard Piqué took a full part in Monday lunchtime’s training session ahead of the midweek trip to Valencia’s stadium Mestalla. A total of 19 players from FC Barcelona’s first team squad and four from the B team took part in the training.

Barcelona (FCB).- Following Sunday’s rest day after the 8-0 win over Osasuna, FC Barcelona’s squad trained at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper this lunchtime and began preparing for the trip to Valencia this Wednesday, to play the fourth game of the Spanish League (22h CET). The good news for Barça’s manager, Pep Guardiola, was that Gerard Piqué played a full part in the training session.


Back in training

Catalan player Gerard Piqué suffered a calf injury during training for the Spanish Super Cup on August 23rd and since then he has been working out on his own. On Saturday he took part in the session before the Osasuna game with the rest of the players.

19 first team players and 4 from the B team

The 19 first team squad members were joined by four B team players -Muniesa, Cuenca, Armando and Riverola on pitch number 2 at Sant Joan Despí’s facilities.

Andrés Iniesta and Alexis Sánchez, who are both injured, worked on their recoveries apart from the rest of the players.
