Tarragona (FCB).- Barça’s win will mean that they are through to the final of the 22nd Catalan Cup against Espanyol, who beat hosts Nastic 2-1. Eusebio’s team came back from a goal down against Girona with goals from Lobato and Riverola securing their place in Tuesday’s final.

The first half ended with the teams at an even 1-1 draw, but Barça took control after the break. Riverola’s goal gave them a well deserved win and a place in the final.

Equaliser just before the break

Girona made the early moves, opening the match with Miño making a couple of good saves to suppress the efforts of the second division team. But at the 32 min mark it became clear, when Gaizca rounded off a good Girona move scoring the first goal of the game, that there was nothing he could do.

Barça hit back with an individual effort from Lobato who beat two men before firing home the equaliser just before the break.

Riverola puts Barça ahead

Eusebio made three changes at half time, bringing on Armando, Rafinha and Deulofeu, a decision which soon bore fruit as Riverola put away a cross from the right by Rafinha to give Barça the lead. They are more than capable of sustaining this momentum into the final.
