University of Hong Kong to open first European campus in Barcelona's 22@ neighborhood
New building to host education center after networking started during MWC

The University of Hong Kong will open its first European campus in Barcelona's 22@ neighborhood in a recently finished building.
The Barcelona Investment Office, a city council team specialized in investments, has been part of the assessment team that pushed to see the education center open in the Catalan capital.
The first networking approaches started in early March 2025 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) mobile trade fair in Barcelona. Since then, the city council's office has helped the university in terms of paperwork, licenses, business approach and moving staff to the city.
The building, located at 28 Llacuna Street, offers over 4,800 square meters and 1,900 outdoor square meters, as well as parking and amenities.
The Business School of the University of Hong Kong ranked 13th in the global 2024 Financial Times Aggregated Research Ranking and the 1st in Asia.
Founded in 1911 as a medicine school, it now offers degrees in art, architecture, business, law, engineering, and social sciences, among many.
