Snow covered peaks in the Pyrenees and some places in the pre-Pyrenees, providing the first winter wonderland landscape images of the season.

Drivers had to in fact use chains to travel on three Catalan roads (specifically the BV-4031, the C-28, and N-152).

Snowplows, however, finished earlier than usual, due to the fact that the snow level decreased in some points in the Pyrenees to as low as 800 meters and, according to Catalonia’s Weather Service, it’s been 10 years since they were that low in October.
