New app launched to know real-time weather in Catalonia
Software enables users to receive warnings when hazardous weather conditions exist
From now on, Catalonia has a new app to know the weather in real-time.
The mobile application METEOCAT is free and available for Android and iOS devices and lets users know not only whether in real-time but also forecasts.
The new app allows you to check the current weather and the forecast for the next three days, hour by hour. It also includes meteorological data such as information on cloud cover, temperature, rainfall, or humidity.
Another important feature of the app is official warnings in case of dangerous weather conditions.
Notifications can be customized according to the user's interests by selecting counties and hazard types and levels.
It's a project created by the Catalan meteorological service Public Meteorological Service of Catalonia and launched on Friday.
