Jonathan Andic temporarily steps down from Mango vicepresidency to focus on legal defence
Son of company founder views accusation of murder for father's death as "serious, unjust, and unfounded"

Jonathan Andic has temporarily left his vicepresidency role at retailer Mango to focus on his legal defense.
Andic is being investigated for homicide for the death of his father Isak Andic, founder of Mango, while they were both on a hike in Montserrat.
In an open letter, Andic lamented that, in addition to mourning the death of his father, he must contend with a "serious, unjust, and unfounded accusation" of homicide that will force him to dedicate an "intense" period of time that won't let him fulfill his obligations to the company.
"Out of responsibility, I have decided to temporarily step away from my dedication to Mango, maintaining the link with other family, business and social projects," the letter read.
Catalan police arrested Jonathan Andic last week and was brought before an investigating judge. He was later released on bail after paying a bail of €1 million.
"I need to concentrate all my energy on proving my innocence," the son of the Mango founder said, who maintains he has the "full support" of his family and those around him.
Andic states that he lives with "pain, helplessness, and frustration." He highlights that he loved his father and that, "as happens in so many families," they also had "difficult and complex moments" that they "overcame with effort, generosity and help."
"A public story has been constructed with a partial, decontextualised, and distorted vision, which has generated a perception of guilt far from reality," adds Andic.
Mango president and CEO Toni Ruiz confirmed the now former vicepresident's departure and showed his utmost respect, understanding, and support for the situation.
