Son of former Mango CEO arrested in relation to father's death in 2024
Jonathan Andic, son of Isak Andic, released from custody after paying €1 million bail

Catalan police, the Mossos d'Esquadra, have arrested Jonathan Andic, son of Isak Andic, on Tuesday morning, in relation to his father's death in December 2024.
Jonathan has been released from custody after paying €1,000,000 in bail.
The judge has charged him with the crime of homicide. At the court, Andic only answered questions from his lawyer.
Isak Andic, founder of the Catalan textile multinational Mango, died during an hike through Montserrat. At the time of his death, he was serving as the non-executive president of Mango.
Catalan police arrested Jonathan early on Tuesday morning for reckless homicide and transferred him to the courts of Martorell, where the case is being investigated.
Authorized spokespeople for the Andic family have confirmed that Jonathan is "currently testifying as part of the proceedings opened for the accident."
The son has always claimed that his father accidentally fell off a cliff, but almost a year and a half later, police have arrested him for his alleged involvement in the events.
The family added that they cannot make any further statements because the case is subject to investigation confidentiality, but they have pointed out that they will collaborate to the maximum with the proceedings.
Police began investigating the death as a possible homicide in October 2025.
Andic, who was the richest person in Catalonia at the time of his death, was initially thought to have died in a mountain accident.
His son, Jonathan Andic, the only person present when the businessman fell from a cliff while hiking, is now being investigated as a suspect.
Death
Isak Andic died during a hike in Collbató, Baix Llobregat, around 45km outside Barcelona, in December 2024.
Emergency services received a call at 12:39 pm that a person had fallen from a great height down a ravine in the Coves de Salnitre.
Upon arrival, they found the body of a 71-year-old man who was rescued by the mountain unit of the Catalan Mossos d'Esquadra police.
The body was in a hard-to-reach area.
Citizen security patrols, a police helicopter, Catalan firefighters and units from the Medical Emergency System (SEM) were also deployed.
