Barcelona will defy terror next Saturday with a big demonstration to condemn the attacks that killed 14 people on Thursday. 'No tinc por' (I'm Not Afraid), will be the motto of the march. This slogan has already become a symbol of Catalonia's willingness to stand strong and united in the wake of the attacks. Thousands chanted it on Friday following a minute of silence in remembrance of the victims.

The march is organized jointly by Barcelona's City Council and the Catalan Government. Mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau, invited all the rest of "public administrations, civil society organizations and citizens" to participate in what is expected to become a "big demonstration." "We are all to take part in solidarity with all the victims of so many terrorist attacks," added the Catalan president, Carles Puigdemont.

The demonstration, on Saturday 26, will begin at 18 pm at the Jardinets de Gràcia and participants will walk through the big avenue Passeig de Gràcia towards central Plaça Catalunya, near la Rambla.

On Friday, thousands of people took part in a moment of silence in Plaça Catalunya. The terrorist attacks in Catalonia killed 14 people and injured more than 100, including many tourists.
