The European Mobility Week returns to Barcelona this year under the motto 'Mobility for Everyone,' highlighting the importance of universal access to public transport.

From September 16 to 22, the Catalan capital will host a wide range of free activities across all districts to celebrate the event.

This year’s initiative emphasizes the need to remove barriers, whether economic, social, or physical, that make mobility difficult.

The European campaign aims to promote inclusive mobility while encouraging the use of sustainable transport options.

In Barcelona, 80% of daily trips are already made using sustainable methods, whether by public transport, bicycle, or on foot. With this initiative, the city council aims to increase that number even further.

One of the highlights will be behind-the-scenes tours of key city mobility hubs, offered for free to the public.

A total of 18 different activities will be organized, accommodating nearly 3,000 participants in collaboration with the city’s main transport operators, including Metro, Bicing, and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC).
