The unionist civic group Impulso Ciudadano claims that most of the “political violence,” that is, politically-motivated violent incidents, were perpetrated by pro-independence campaigners.

According to a report presented in Barcelona on Thursday, 189 such incidents were reported in the first half of 2019, of which 91.5% were caused by people in favor of a Catalan state.

Impulso Ciudadano also says that 9 in 10 victims of this alleged violence were unionist citizens or parties, such as Ciutadans, the Socialists or far-right Vox.

Among the 189 reported incidents, the group included graffiti, road cuts, taunts, exposure demonstrations and intimidation.

The entity’s president, José Domingo, announced that they would be sending the paper to international institutions and entities in favor of human rights.
