The Minister for Equality and Feminism, Eva Menor, has announced that at the beginning of next year, Catalonia will set up a service to help victims of sexist cyberviolence.

The new body will be aimed especially at helping young people.

In her first appearance in the Equality and Feminism committee in Parliament, Menor announced that it will be a "direct care service" in which victims will be offered legal and psychological support.

Menor also expressed a desire to promote a national pact against hate speech and a comprehensive plan against extremism that establishes "warning systems" in the face of possible radicalization.
