Eurovision meets science fiction. 'Tuelf Points – The Most Eurovision Musical Ever' is coming to Barcelona's Teatre Gaudí from April 7 to May 21.

It will feature over 80 songs (number of key changes not specified) from the competition down through the years, including Massiel's La, La, La, which won in London for Spain in 1968, and Conchita Wurst's Rise Like a Phoenix, the Austrian winner of Eurovision 2014 in Denmark.

'Tuelf Points', created by Dídac Flores, will be "a tribute to the iconic song contest that takes the viewer on a science fiction journey through Eurovision medleys and songs."

The show will feature virtual appearances from artists who have stepped onto the Eurovision stage, such as Nina (1989), Ruth Lorenzo (2014) and Miki Núñez (2019).

Taking advantage of Teatre Gaudí's quadrilateral layout and screens, the singers will make virtual cameos that organizers say will make the viewer "feel like they are in a real Eurovision final."

Catalan, Spanish and English

The theatrical concert, which combines Catalan, Spanish and English, comes from production company 'Suerte en mi vida'.

The plot begins with the unexpected news that the Eurovision song contest has been postponed. The audience learns that the composer of all the winning songs, known as 'Maestro', has died, and a successor must be found.

Directed by Karen Gutiérrez, the show began its run on April 7, although the official premiere takes place on Wednesday.

Eurovision 2023

This year's Eurovision will take place during 'Tuelf Points'' theatre run. The final is scheduled for May 13 in Liverpool, after the European Broadcasting Union decided to award hosting duties to last year's runners-up, the United Kingdom, due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, the 2022 winners.

The Teatre Gaudí is planning to put on special event on May 13 where people can watch the musical and Eurovision itself in the theater.
