Susan Sarandon will receive the 2026 International Goya Award at a ceremony to be held on February 28 in Barcelona, the Spanish Cinema Academy announced on Wednesday.
In a statement, the academy praised the US actor's "wide-ranging and formidable" career. "She represents the perfect combination of talent and professional success, glamour and social and political commitment," it said.
Sarandon has starred in films including Thelma & Louise, The Witches of Eastwick, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Atlantic City and Dead Man Walking, for which she won an Oscar.
The International Goya Award was created to recognise figures who contribute to cinema as an art form that connects cultures and audiences around the world.
