Rosalía has won the Best Latin MTV Video Music Award for ‘Lo vas a olvidar’, her long-awaited collaboration with US music sensation Billie Eilish.

This is the third MTV VMA prize for the Catalan singer, whose superstar collaboration with J Balvin in the reggaeton hit ‘Con Altura’ earned her another two awards back in 2019.

'Lo vas a olvidar' (Spanish for 'You're going to forget it') was released last January and features Rosalía's and Eilish's vocals without background instrumentation, singing mainly in Spanish.

The song is part of the soundtrack of one of the episodes of HBO's hit series 'Euphoria' and was also played on the show's trailer.

The video was directed by Australian-American Nabil, who has also worked with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Dua Lipa, and SZA.

In the category 'Best Latin', the song competed against other top artists like Shakira, Black Eyed Peas, Bad Bunny, Maluma, Karol G, Dua Lipa, and J Balvin.

Born in the Catalan town of Sant Esteve Sesrovires, 30 minutes away from Barcelona, and educated in Catalonia’s prestigious ESMUC music school, Rosalía is arguably one of the biggest music stars to emerge from Catalonia, achieving widespread acclaim with her breakthrough album ‘El Mal Querer’ in 2018.

Following the stunning success of 'El Mal Querer' and its daring experimentation with flamenco music, Rosalía went on to establish herself as a household name on international charts with a string of collaborations featuring some of the biggest music stars in the world, such as Bad Bunny, Travis Scott, or The Weeknd.
