The American singer-songwriter, Post Malone, brought his unique blend of country, hip-hop, and rap style to Barcelona on Friday night, on what was his only stop in Spain during his The Big Ass World Tour.

Post Malone, who is one of the best-selling music artists with over 80 million records sold, sang some of his newest hits such as 'Wrong Ones,' and 'Losers.' He stood on a stage that reassembled a long road of the US far-west featuring several LED screens showing road signs.

With his sixth album, F-1 trillion, he took a chance as he submerged on a country genre, and the attempt turned out well, as his album has been very successful from the start. The EP ranked 1 on the Billboard 200 and features one of his latest anthems, 'I Had Some Help,' featuring Morgan Wallen. In fact, this was one of the closing songs of the gig on Friday.

Post Malone, stage name of 30-year-old Austin Richard Post, took over the city's Olympic Stadium at 9 pm during a 1:45-hour concert in front of thousands, despite the hundreds of empty seats visible in the stadium. Tickets went on sale in February. The American had already performed in Barcelona back in 2017 at the Razzmatazz concert hall.

However, this time, he came back big, although the stadium was not at its full capacity, the attending fans gave it their all from the start. And their excitement was well rewarded with a stage featuring Post Malone, the band, plenty of fireworks, fire cannons, and light shows.

During the concert, the American singer also performed 'Better Now' and 'rockstar,' from his second album 'beerbongs & bentleys,' released in 2018, as well as 'Wow.' and 'Goodbyes.' from his EP 'Hollywood's Bleeding.' In fact, the song served to bid farewell to his friend Jelly Roll, who was the invited guest before Post Malone's gig and had joined him to sing 'Losers.'

Aside from 'I Had Some Help,' Post Malone sang 'Sunflower' and 'Congratulations' to end a night full of music in Barcelona, regardless of the chilly weather.

His concert was the main reason FC Barcelona could not play in the Estadi Olímpic on Sunday against Valencia CF, as there was not enough time to prepare the grass for the game. Barça will now play at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, as the Spotify Camp Nou was not ready after refurbishment.

Post Malone will perform in Lisbon on Sunday, finishing his tour with two concerts in London next weekend.
