Immersive Tim Burton exhibition comes to Barcelona in March
Journey into iconic filmmaker's mind sells 20,000 advance tickets
A new immersive exhibition into the mind of legendary American filmmaker Tim Burton is coming to Barcelona next month.
Famous for films such as Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Burton's creative universe will be on display at the Palau de Victòria Eugènia in Montjuïc from March 8.
After successful stops in Paris, Brussels and Madrid with a total of 600,000 visitors, 20,000 tickets have already been sold in advance for 'Tim Burton's Labyrinth' in the Catalan capital.
The immersive experience consists of an hour-long labyrinth-like route that allows visitors to choose their own path through themed rooms filled with lights, music, projections, sculptures and meticulous details that bring Burton's cinematic gems to life.
The exhibition also includes a collection of 200 original drawings personally provided by Tim Burton, featuring exclusive characters that never made it to the big screen.
"It is a journey through Tim Burton's mind - as he describes it - that gathers his entire cinematic, artistic and narrative universe and transforms it into a physical and sensory voyage," says Elena Garrán, communications director of Letsgo, the creative team behind the exhibition.
The exhibit is family-friendly and suitable for all audiences. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet beloved characters from Burton's acclaimed films, including Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd, Alice in Wonderland, and many more.
