Tuesday night was a night awaited by many Catalans. US pop-rock band Imagine Dragons returned to Barcelona for the first time since their last gig in the city in 2018. And this time, it was not in their two-time home of Palau Sant Jordi (2013 and 2018). But they came back as the band deserved, where the big leagues play: the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.

The over 50,000-capacity Olympic Stadium went into a rage at 9:30 p.m. when the first chords of 'Fire in These Hills' started playing, one of the major hits from their latest album, 'LOOM,' released last year.

And after fire came 'Thunder.' Normally, after a fire breaks out, firefighters arrive, but that was not the case on Tuesday night at the stadium. The 2008 band, formed in Las Vegas, US, kept the major euphoria with 'Thunder,' one of the most famous singles of their third album 'Evolve.'

Smoke cannons, large displays, confetti, fireworks, and energetic light shows meant that the show could not slow down, and spectators did not want it either. The Americans continued with hits like 'Bones,' and 'Take Me to the Beach,' (Yes, please! It is so hot outside!) when around 15 massive inflatable beach balls started entertaining the audience. Just, all ready for 'Shots,' 'I'm So Sorry,' and 'Whatever It takes,' sang accompanied the Ukrainian and the LGBTIQ+ flags.

At that moment, lead singer Dan Reynolds, guitarist Wayne Sermon, and bassist Ben McKee slowed things down. The band performed 'Next to Me' and 'I Bet My Life' in an acoustic setting, surrounded by thousands of fans with the torches on and transforming the stadium into a sea of small lights, while the three sang on a stage extension in the middle of the stadium.

Revolutions quickly rose with the second part of the around 1:45-hour-long show. 'Bad Liar' and 'Wake Up' got fans up to speed before one of the most awaited moments of the night, when everything went: 'Radioactive.'

And it indeed blew up with smoke cannons, and thousands jumped to the rhythm of one of the major hits from Night Visions, the band's debut album, published in 2012. Just before Reynolds took the drums and delighted everyone in the stadium, thousands had sung the hit a cappella, now an anthem.

And when everyone was at the peak of their excitement, it was the time for 'Demons,' with Reynolds, this time, playing the piano. Followed by 'Natural,' and a "Your life is always worth living," statement that he said when talking about depression before singing  'Walking the Wire,' and 'Sharks.'

The concert quickly came to an end with 'Enemy,' for the Netflix animated series 'Arcane.' The public awaited 'In Your Corner' and 'Birds' to end a magical, warm night that left everyone in rapture with 'Believer.'
