Catalan singer performs Frozen theme at 92nd Academy Awards ceremony

Gisela was one of nine international performers to sing the Oscar-nominated song in different languages

The Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles, California last night had Catalan representation on stage, as Catalan singer Gisela was heard around the globe. 

Gisela was one of nine international performers accompanying Idina Menzel in singing ‘Into the Unknown,’ the theme tune from Frozen 2. 

In total, ten different Elsas from all over the world took to the stage singing in the languages of their native country. Each of the singers played the part of Elsa in the dubbed version of the movie in different languages from around the world. 

As well as Gisela, the 92nd Academy Awards heard Elsas from Germany, Russia, Japan, Denmark, Norway, Mexico, Thailand, and Poland. 

The song ‘Into the Unknown’ was nominated in the Best Original Song category.
