30,000 go wild as Brit star promises to become 'king of entertainment' in RCDE stadium

Robbie Williams promised to be the "king of entertainment" in his sole concert in Spain, held on Saturday evening at RCDE Stadium, in Cornellà de Llobregat, just outside Barcelona. And the 30,000 attendees in the venue went wild.
The British superstar did not miss any of his timeless hits, such as 'Rock DJ', 'Millennium', 'She's the one' or the especially awaited 'Feel' and 'Angels' at the end of the show.

Yet, long before the final frenzy with the all-timer classics, the singer began his performance with 'Rocket' –a recently published song that is part of his new album 'Britpop,' which will be released this autumn and that is poised to become a tribute to the British pop in the nineties.
'Let me entertain you' followed, with Robbie making clear that he had "a show that’s all about entertainment, so we can all escape for a while."
The former 'Take That' band member went emotional talking about his family to introduce 'Love my life', admitting that "my life began when I first met my wife and kids, I was lost despite the success, until they came. They saw a person in me, and not a pop star."

'Rock DJ' drove the stadium mad, while 'Supreme' prompted Williams to ask the attendees to turn their phone lights on, as he joked that he would have liked to have color wristbands like Coldplay, but "they were too expensive."
'Candy', 'Something beautiful' and 'Relight my fire' were performed on a platform in the middle of the standing area in a more acoustic format. Indeed, the artist was warm and close with the public throughout the concert, interacting with them on various occasions, touching their hands, talking to the front row fans, and even letting some of them sing with the mic.
'Millennium', with some dancers in golden dresses, or a version of classic 'New York, New York' –when Williams changed his outfit– were other songs performed before the final climax.

'She's the one' and 'My way' were preceded by a touching speech: "We don’t have tomorrow guaranteed, nor next year, but we’re here now, and I’m sure there are still things ahead for me—and for you too," he emphasized. "So, I ask you: will you grow up with me?"
This was followed by the eagerly awaited 'Feel' and 'Angels', which were unanimously sung by the crowds and put the cap on Robbie Williams' first concert in Catalonia in two years.
After taking his 'Britpop tour' to cities such as Edinburgh, London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, or Paris, the star is now heading to Vienna, Berlin, Munich, Stockholm, Dublin, Prague, and Budapest, among others, before finishing the tour in Istanbul in early October.
