D'A doesn't just offer movies, they will also be premiering the first episode of Catalan director Clara Roquet's first series 'Las largas sombras', which will later be available on streaming platform Disney+.

The thriller series follows a group of women whose lives are turned upside down after the remains of a former classmate who disappeared during their senior trip turn up. This is Roquet’s first project as a director since the award-winning 2021 movie 'Libertad'.

The BCN Film Fest offers 69 movies, including 15 world, 20 Spanish, and 11 Catalan premieres.

Locations

The D’A Film Festival will be held in 13 different locations across the Catalan capital, most of them in the Center for Contemporary Culture Barcelona (CCCB) and Mooby Aribau.

BCN Film Fest has 12 locations spread across Barcelona, including Cinemas Verdi and cultural center CaixaForum.

BCN Film Fest awards

American director Richard Linklater will receive the Honorary Award at the closing gala of the BCN Film Fest on April 26, where he will also personally present his latest work 'Hit Man' for its Spanish debut.
