It is closely followed by J.A. Bayona's 'Society of the Snow', about the 1972 Uruguayan rugby team that survived a plane crash, with 13 nominations.

Jokes & Cigarettes (Saben aquell)' by David Trueba received 11 nominations. The comedy is based on the life and career of the unforgettable comedian Eugenio, played by Catalan David Verdaguer, and is set in Barcelona in the late 60s.

Renowned Spanish filmmaker Víctor Erice also received 11 nominations for his enigmatic tale of a missing actor, 'Close Your Eyes'.

Catalan director Isabel Coixet received 7 nominations for 'Un Amor,' a film based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Sara Mesa, starring Catalan Laia Costa.

The singer and actress Ana Belén, and the directors known as the Javis will be in charge of presenting the Goya 2024 Awards, which will be held tonight in Valladolid.
