20th century Catalan masters featured in Girona Art Museum's new exhibition
The Bassat Collection is being displayed in Girona for the first time

The Girona Art Museum is showcasing a new temporary exhibition titled "Masters of 20th-Century Catalan Art," featuring works by renowned artists such as Miró, Clavé, Tàpies, Guinovart, and Cuixart.

The show presents around seventy pieces that explore key artistic movements from the last hundred years, from early avant-garde expressions to the styles of the 1980s and 1990s.
All the works are part of the Bassat Collection, which is being exhibited in the city for the first time.

Curators Joan Gil Gregorio and Conxita Oliver explained that the exhibition was designed to highlight the story of Catalan art, underline the role of Catalan artists as international pioneers, and share the Bassats' deep passion for collecting.

The exhibition is open until September 14.
