Nobel Peace Prize laureate criticizes trial

<p>Nobel Peace laureate Jody Williams criticizes thinks what is happening at the Catalan Trial "is not justice," and qualified it as a "farce."</p> <p>She said this while speaking to the press outside the Supreme Court, where the Catalan Trial is being held.</p> <p>She also expressed that this "conflict"&nbsp; is a political problem&nbsp;and that the right to protest is being violated.</p> <p>She said it "makes her sad" that from what she sees in the courtroom, Spain&rsquo;s unity is more important than the truth.</p> <p>So far, today&rsquo;s session saw the testimonies of Spanish&nbsp;Civil Guard officers, all who spoke of violence on referendum day.</p> <p>One witness said voters threw stones at police, while another described kicking, spitting, and pushing in another town.</p> / ACN
