Nobel Peace Prize laureate criticizes trial

Nobel Peace laureate Jody Williams criticizes thinks what is happening at the Catalan Trial "is not justice," and qualified it as a "farce." She said this while speaking to the press outside the Supreme Court, where the Catalan Trial is being held. She also expressed that this "conflict"  is a political problem and that the right to protest is being violated. She said it "makes her sad" that from what she sees in the courtroom, Spain’s unity is more important than the truth. So far, today’s session saw the testimonies of Spanish Civil Guard officers, all who spoke of violence on referendum day. One witness said voters threw stones at police, while another described kicking, spitting, and pushing in another town. / ACN
